About Us

When Ariana Grande's Eternal Sunshine Tour rolled into Oakland, Section 113 had a clear, unobstructed sightline straight to the stage. That detail matters, because at Oakland Arena, the geometry of the bowl was designed so that 19,000 people can each feel like they have the best seat in the house. The sound system carries cleanly from floor to upper deck, and the lighting rigs overhead turn every production into something you feel in your chest.

The arena sits at 7000 South Coliseum Way in East Oakland, right off the Coliseum BART station, making it one of the most transit-accessible major venues on the West Coast. Parking lots surround the complex, but thousands of fans skip the car entirely and step off the train directly into the pre-show energy. That accessibility is part of what gives this building its crowd, night after night.

With a 4.4-star rating across nearly 10,000 reviews, the reputation here is built on specifics: staff described as friendly and welcoming, sightlines that hold up across all sections, and acoustics that let a 360-degree concert format land the way the artist intended. From K-pop spectaculars to classic American songbook performers, the range of events that work in this room reflects how genuinely versatile the venue is.

What We Offer

Oakland Arena hosts the full spectrum of large-scale live entertainment. Major touring concerts anchor the calendar, with artists across pop, hip-hop, R&B, Latin, and K-pop regularly choosing this room as their Bay Area stop. The arena's capacity and production infrastructure support full stage builds, elaborate lighting designs, and immersive 360-degree configurations that smaller venues simply cannot accommodate.

Beyond concerts, the facility books sporting events, award shows, family shows, and large-scale corporate productions. Premium seating options range from floor standing-room sections to club-level seats with dedicated concourse access. Concessions throughout the building serve food and beverages before the show and during intermissions, and the box office team handles ticketing questions and will-call pickup on event days.

For event planners and promoters, the arena offers full production support, load-in coordination, and a seasoned operations staff that has managed hundreds of major events. The administrative offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, for booking inquiries, group sales, and event services coordination.

"Attended Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour on 6/9 and it was an amazing concert! I was able to see her clearly. The photo attached is without zooming in from sec 113, row 14. By the end of the concert, I’m making my way to the BART station, until I realized I forgot my hoodie. Devastated, I ran back towards the stadium and thankfully, the security staff escorted me back to my seat to try to retrieve it. Unfortunately, I did not see anything left behind as the clean up crew were quick go clear and clean the section. At the guest services table, they informed me that my hoodie has not been returned to the lost & found, but the staff gave me a business card with the lost & found number and email. Determined and hopeful to get my hoodie back, I emailed a description of my item and realized that it must have gotten squished between the folded seats. I also left a voicemail. Long story short, a staff called me the next day around 11am to inform me that they found my item and I could pick it up before 4pm. Thank you so much to all of Oakland Arena’s staff: cleaning crew, guest service, and security. Yall made my day when I got my hoodie back. Shoutout to Erica for the phone call and big shout out to Ryan for running to get my hoodie when I arrived 😭❤️"

"Update 1/18/2026: Was here for Twice concert and again staff were amazing, friendly and welcoming! Just wanted to leave my perspective on my seat I purchased for Twice's 360° concert view. I was seated in section 120 which is normally behind the stage and not sold. This section was obstructed by multiple cables coming down in support of the show. I do not recommend these seats. Twice's show was amazing! One of my favorite venues for concerts. The entire staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. I feel safe and secure walking from parking lot into venue. Keep up the outstanding job!"

"I attended the Kirk Franklin - REUNION TOUR 2024 here back in Nov 24.. The biggest issue I had in this date was that I purchased tickets FOR the best section I wanted which was in the 100's. It was a surprise for my wife. However, during the concert, the chair that I was seating in broke underneath me. I could not believe this at all. I felt so unsafe and I hurt myself. We immediately went to find an employee. That employee made us stand there almost 10 to 15 mins while she talked to others. Then she went and looked at the seat. She ushered us to a different seating. That seating... was all the way at the top where they put individuals with wheelchairs. We had to watch everything from the big screen at that point. Our whole experience was ruined. They did not even refund my money either. I reached out via email to report the issue. To this day, no one ever even responded to what my issue. Update 11/7/25: I enjoyed attending "The Boy is Mine" tour here. I didn't purchase anything at the arena because I pregamed prior to coming. It can really be expensive purchasing food and drinks at any concert spot you go to. Waiting to get until the parking lot was horrendous. There was no one directing traffic for a more seamless parking experience despite the cost of parking. Checking in was easy... no issues. There were people at the check in entrance that directed you to your section. However, there was no one at each section entrance ensuring that individuals were at the correct section and seating. This caused issues because many ppl were seating in other people's seat when they arrived. The audio, was the concert began, was amazing and the big screens did their job. I really throughly enjoyed the concert. However, the bathrooms were a hot mess. They were dirty and no one went in after each intermission to clean. Once the concert was done, it became a massive safety issue. We were bunched up like a can of sardines, trying to get to the exit. There was no employees directing us or helping to move us. I was a little bit afraid because ppl would also be able to pick pockets in such a close proximity. Oakland Arena.. you need to do better with the parking, entrance and exciting of your concert goers. FULL DISCLOSURE: There are many videos of the concert."
